About Me From pewter window shopping to printing my own adventures |

The Early Years I started playing Dungeons & Dragons in the late 80s, back in elementary school. From there, I dove into all kinds of RPGs — Rifts, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness, and other wonderful games. I always loved seeing those pewter minis in the game shop windows, but I never had any of my own.

Rediscovering the Magic Years later, on a two-family vacation with great friends, we played a D&D session with the then-7-year-olds. It all came rushing back — I remembered how much fun it was to play. When I turned 40, I made a decision: I wanted to see my friends more often. We started a weekly game that’s been going strong across three campaigns and twice as many years. I also started a campaign for my son and his friends that ran for about five years. |

The First Paint Job For my first campaign, I had someone 3D print me a mini through an online service. That was also my first paint job ever. Then I discovered HeroForge and used it to create my player characters for the second campaign. About three years ago, my partner got me my first printer — and I printed my first minis! That was so much fun that I started printing everything I needed for the game I was running. |

Homework & Hobbies I needed something to do while keeping my son company during homework — something that wouldn’t be distracting. So I got some spray paint and a few paints, and started painting. Luckily, middle school had a lot of homework, so I got a lot of practice. The kids got to play in the Wild Beyond the Witchlight world for a while, so you’ll see a ton of fun carnival stuff and rabbit minis in my work. I just kept printing fun stuff for our games! |

Comic Book Dreams I’ve loved comics since I was a kid and always admired those amazing statues in shop windows — but just like the pewter minis, I never bought any. Now that I can print them myself, I’ve had so much fun creating the statues I always dreamed of owning! |
Maybe You’ll Be Inspired Too
I hope you like my stuff — and maybe feel inspired to try some painting yourself! I’d never picked up a mini and painted until a few years ago, and now it’s my favorite way to relax.
